A farmer who nearly died after being gored by a bull has spoken of his ordeal.

Ian McLean was seriously injured after the raging animal attacked him at his farm in St Mary Hoo, near Rochester.

He was loading one of his bulls into a pen with a cow when the bull fronted up to him and tossed him through the air.

Mr McLean, who has been farming for more than 40 years, landed on his head.

With blood pouring from his wounds, he staggered to his feet and tried to run from the huge animal.

But the bull attacked again, this time goring the farmer in the chest.

Mr McLean, 62, had to be airlifted to a London hospital where he was treated for a catalogue of injuries.

He said: “I owe everything to the Kent Air Ambulance – the doctor saved my life.”
