Meet the new Aylesham carnival court

The new Aylesham carnival court

The new carnival court to represent Aylesham in the coming year has been picked.

Eight girls were selected from more than 20 young hopefuls at the New Club in the village.

The new Junior Miss Aylesham is Chloe Cosier, 10, and Miss Aylesham is Rebecca Robson, 16. The junior princesses are Kerrie Bryan, 10, and Lauren Donnachie, nine, while the senior princesses are Katie Thornton, 13, and Elizabeth Donnachie, 14.

The deputy Junior Miss Aylesham is Alisha Falconer and the deputy Miss Aylesham is Danielle Webb.

The contestants took part in interviews with the judges and also with the chairman of Aylesham Carnival Association Alan Watson and the outgoing deputy Miss Aylesham Megan Cowie.

The court will be attending events all over Kent, Sussex, London and possibly at Euro Disney in Paris. At the moment about 45 are planned over their year.
