Only four Kent sides were in action on Tuesday night as heavy rain forced a number of postponements.

Bromley missed the chance to move within four points of the Blue Square South playoff places after suffering an abject 3-0 defeat at struggling Bishops Stortford.

The Essex side - who had lost their previous six games - were 1-0 up inside five minutes and and it was 2-0 two minutes after the restart while the third arrived 20 minutes from time.

Folkestone Invicta closed the gap on Ryman League Division 1 South leaders in-waiting Croydon Athletic with a 2-1 win at Chatham Town - who slipped to 14th.

Invicta went eight-points ahead of Croydon, having played one more game than their rivals, but are due for a 10-point penalty for entering into a CVA.

Liam Friend headed in a 21st-minute Jimmy Jackson free-kick but the Chats levelled on 36 minutes through Brendon Cass on the break.

The home side came into the game after the break but with four minutes remaining Josh Burchell burst into the box four minutes and was brought down allowing James Everitt to fire home from the spot.

Ramsgate drew 1-1 at high-flying Fleet Town to move up to 12th in Ryman League Division 1 South.

After a goalless first half Tom Tsangarides turned the ball in after a goalmouth scramble on 57 minutes to put the Rams ahead.

However the hosts levelled within 10 minutes and the sides had to settle for a point apiece.
