A MISSING elderly man has been found at a holiday camp in Leysdown.
Anthony James, 66, of Sheppey Beach Villas, Leysdown, was found in a shocked state and taken to Medway Maritime by ambulance at around 10.50am this morning.
Mr James went missing yesterday evening at around 8pm and Swale police immediately issued an urgent appeal for any information on his whereabouts as he suffers from senile dementia, Parkinson’s disease and diabetes.
Officers on foot and a police helicopter with heat seeking equipment also carried out a search in the Leysdown-on-sea area during the early hours of this morning but failed to find Mr James.
Insp Dave Applegate, who has been leading the enquiry, said: “I would like to thank everybody who helped us with our appeal we are relieved that Mr James has been found safe and is now receiving treatment to ensure his wellbeing.”
