A box containing medicine that could be dangerous if misused has gone missing.

Police say enough of the medicine has disappeared to provide a fatal dose.

The plastic container - which was in a bag left on a bus by a family from Broadstairs on Tuesday - had two hyperdermic needles with medication administered to people suffering from severe nut or shell fish allergies.

Det Sgt Chris Goodman said: "Six milligrams are missing and people have been known to die from a dose of between three and six milligrams."

If anyone finds the box - which also contained anti-histermine tablets - they are urged to contact police on 01843 231055.
