Morgan keeps track of its cars

THE Morgan Motor Company has chosen the stolen vehicle recovery system, Tracker Horizon as the only approved “factory-fit” option for its Aero 8, Plus 8 and 4/4 models.
This means that Morgan customers have the reassurance that their brand new Morgan can be delivered to them complete with a Tracker Horizon security device.
This means that should their car be stolen, the Tracker system hidden within the vehicle can be activated and the police can locate and retrieve it using both land-based radio and satellite technologies.
Matthew Parkin, sales and marketing director at Morgan, said: “We wish to supply our valued customers with a comprehensive factory option programme. Naturally, this needs to cover the security of their vehicle.
“We decided upon Tracker’s Horizon system for a number of reasons. Tracker has an excellent reputation within the industry and we were extremely impressed by the functionality of Horizon and its superb retrieval record.”
The stolen recovery systems range includes Tracker Retrieve where the owner contacts Tracker if the vehicle is stolen; and Tracker Monitor where a remote sensor in the vehicle alerts Tracker HQ if the vehicle is illegally moved.
Both systems are operated via land-based radio transmission, which means that if the car is hidden in a lock-up or container or is covered up, it can still be tracked.
Tracker Horizon operates as Monitor, but also utilises satellite positioning technology as well as land based radio transmission to provide the most comprehensive stolen vehicle vehicle tracking system available in the UK.
To date, Tracker has led the police to the retrieval of more than 9,700 stolen vehicles valued at more than £164m and to the arrest of more than 1,400 vehicle thieves.
