Motorcyclist dies two weeks after collision with car

A 44-year-old motorcyclist has died from injuries suffered in a road crash more than two weeks ago.

The accident happened in Military Road, Appledore, on Sunday, September 21.

Officers from the Serious Crash Investigation Unit (SCIU) are renewing their appeal for witnesses of the collision, which happened shortly after 2pm.

The motorcyclist, from Sussex, was riding a black Suzuki GSXR 1000 which was in collision with a silver Vauxhall Astra 1.6. He was taken by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital, where he died on Friday.

The driver of the Vauxhall Astra was unhurt.
