PEOPLE living in the countryside are being asked to help save green fields from the developers.

The Campaign to Protect Rural England is making the call at its annual conference in London today.

It comes after Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott unveiled plans for thousands of new homes in Kent and other parts of the south of England.
