The firm’s UK arm, which has given the move the go-ahead, says that demand for high-spec Kugas and luxury options has prompted the move to bring in the Kuga Titanium X Sport.
Ford’s figures state that more than 80% of Kuga buyers already opt for the Titanium or Titanium X models, with 85% of those spending more on the optional sports Appearance Pack and 40% choosing the Convenience Pack for its power-folding mirrors and Active Park Assist.
The Kuga Titanium X Sport has sports styling as standard, covering body coloured front rear and side skirts, body coloured wheel arches, a large rear spoiler, a high gloss rear diffuser, a silver skid plate at the front, high gloss black bumper detailing, unique 19-in alloy wheels, chrome roof rails and dark rear windows with privacy glass.
Popular technology options such as a Sony DAB navigation system, Rear View Camera, Active Park Assist and power folding door mirrors have also been standardised, taking a lead from the most popular customer options.
Mark Ovenden, Ford Britain managing director said: “With such strong customer demand for the Ford Kuga and the majority of buyers choosing the luxury and refinement of the Titanium X with optional extras, it made perfect sense to introduce the stylish range topping Titanium X Sport.”
The model is available to order from today, with the first deliveries expected in October.
