Wishing stars, festive mobiles with tags bearing the children's names and their Christmas message to the school, and a range of decorations, tinsel and glitter brightened up Newington junior school.

Decorations, baubles, garlands and a huge Christmas tree are also part of the festive show.

Chairman of governors Cllr Mike Harrison is impressed with the decorations. He said: "They are fantastic. A huge amount of time and effort has gone into making Newington a really colourful festive showpiece with a great Christmas atmosphere."
