kmfm presenter Johnny Lewis interviews Santa
What do you do first thing on Christmas morning?
Desperately try to get some extra shut-eye after being up half the night doing up last-minute presents in readiness for the friendly invasion of family later in the day? Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
Christmas morning is always a really hectic time isn’t it? Excited children ploughing through their presents at a rate of knots, wrapping paper and ribbons making an increasingly big colourful mountain in the middle of the floor, which, if you have cats and dogs, is a great place for them to dive and hide in.
Then it's time to grab some breakfast and start getting the dinner ready. Peeling, preparing, cooking, roasting - and finding chairs from all over the house (and the shed - get those cobwebs off first though!) to seat your visitors, albeit at different heights.
And what about the last minute dash to the service station shop to try to find the last, last, last minute things you have forgotten.
We have all been there from time to time and it is all part of the charm of Christmas Day.
This year I won’t have that manic morning feeling - at least not at home anyway. That’s because I will be on air from 6am broadcasting from our Cliftonville studios. My show will be crammed full of Christmas goodies to really get you in the mood - and I will be broadcasting our fun and frolics to the whole of Kent that morning.
So clamber through the wrapping paper, find the radio, tune in and join Santa Lewis for Christmas breakfast on kmfm.
My next column will be in January, so Happy New Year to you all from all of us involved with my weekday and Saturday morning show.
