Burlington House fire

Two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire at the Burlington House in Dover on Sunday.

More than 60 firefighters from all over East Kent tackled the blaze which resulted in the 12-storey building in Townwall Street.

Police said two boys from Dover, aged 14 and 15, attended at the town's police station on Monday and were interviewed and released on bail until August 13, pending further police enquiries.

The alarm was raised at 7pm on Sunday and guests in a nearby hotel and restaurant had to be evacuated while fire crews tackled the blaze.
