TWO unemployed men have been charged following a burglary at a shop on a Kent high street.

Lee Terence Darling, 33, of Wood Lane, Kingsnorth, near Ashford, is accused of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle after the incident at the Spar Shop in New Romney in the early hours of Friday morning.

Stephen Michael Covey, 44, of Eastry Close, Ashford, was also charged with burglary.

Both men have been remanded in custody.
