A WOMAN and a young man arrested following the death of a 57-year-old man at the weekend are still being questioned by detectives.

Police were called to an address in Bearsted, near Maidstone, after receiving a call from Kent Ambulance Services at 9.30pm on Saturday night.

The 57-year-old man was taken to Maidstone Hospital with severe head and body injuries. He died in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A 58-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were arrested on Saturday.

Police have stressed that this was an isolated incident and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

A post-mortem examination of the man, who has not yet been named, took place on Sunday.
