An armed raider is being hunted by police after a petrol station in a Kent village was held up.

A man carrying a black handgun walked into Farningham Filling Station in Dartford Road, Farningham, near Swanley at around 8.30pm on Wednesday. He demanded money from a member of staff.

Police say having taken a cash tin, the man walked out of the premises and round to the side of the building. No-one was hurt during the incident.

The robber is described as Asian, 35 to 40-years-old and wearing a black hooded top and a black hat.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to contact police on 01732 379217 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
