Drivers have been reporting a lack of fuel at many forecourts across Kent today.

Motorists expressed their outrage with fuel shortages reported in towns, including across Medway and Canterbury.

One took to Twitter saying: "Still no fuel in north Kent today apart from one BP garage ripping drivers off by adding another 10p per litre since yesterday."

There have also been reports of no fuel in Dover, Folkestone, along with Gillingham, Hempstead Valley and Chatham..

It is believed the shortage have most likely been caused by Just Stop Oil protestors, who have been demonstrating for three days outside oil terminals.

The protesters are demanding that the UK government stops new oil and gas projects.

More than 30 members of Just Stop Oil camped outside the Buncefield oil terminal in Hertfordshire overnight.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, 12 activists gained access to the site and entered the facility.

Some stood on fuel trucks with banners and refused to come down, while others sat outside the gates to prevent tankers from leaving.

The group want Prime Minister, Boris Johnson to diverge from fossil fuels and invest in renewable energy.

There have also been reports of another protest in Thurrock, Essex.

Several supermarket garages have been running out and closing pumps today including Asda in Chatham while Morrison's in Canterbury was also out this morning.
