One of six motorbikes stolen from High Halden, near Tenterden

Police are hunting possible serial bike thieves after high-value motorbikes were stolen in similar raids.

Thieves swiped three motorbikes worth nearly £30,000 in a daring pre-dawn raid on a shop in Faversham last Thursday.

Now detectives have revealed six motorbikes and equipment, also worth about £30,000, were stolen from a business in High Halden, near Tenterden, just days earlier.

Thieves broke though a fence at the firm, on the A28, and got into the workshop by removing bricks from the outer wall.

The motorbikes, several of which were customised with unique parts, were stolen over the Bank Holiday weekend - between 5pm on Sunday, August 26 and 7.30am on Tuesday, August 28.

Officers are looking into the possibility the raid is linked to the theft of motorbikes from a shop in The Mall, Faversham.

The gang targeted a motorcycle shop in The Mall, Faversham, at around 2.40am on Thursday, August 30.

Police believe the thieves wheeled the bikes straight out of the shop.

The bikes taken from High Halden included:

• A green and white Kawasaki KLX250
• A green and white Kawasaki KXF250
• A white and blue Husqvarna MAK125
• A red Honda CRF250
• An orange and black KTM SXF450
• A white and blue Kawasaki YZF

Other items taken included tyres, moto-cross boots and helmets.

DC Kane Clifford, from Kent Police, said: "We would appeal to anyone who has information about these bikes or equipment being offered for much reduced prices."
