POLICE are investigating after the discovery of a 77-year-old man's body in Rainham house last night.

Early reports said the police were treating the death as suspicious, though this morning a spokesman would only

say that officers were investigating the death.

Police were called to the house in Taswell Road shortly before 6.30pm last night.

The man, who is believed to have lived alone, has not been named by police and no further information will be released until after a post mortem later today.
