A fault on the power network has seen house lights flickering across Kent tonight.

Problems have been reported across the county, with the Paddock Wood and Thanet areas thought to have been particularly badly hit.

UK Power Networks said the problem was in intermittent fault on National Grid's power network.

UK Power Networks was flooded with queries from people on social media, but reported the issue had been fixed just before 8pm and that problems should now ease.
