The drunken thug – who recruited Lloyd Thorne to take part in the attack – had punched and kicked 35-year-old Mr Wilkes after accusing him of being "a nonce" and hitting women.

Mr Wilkes was taken to hospital with a severe head wound and died six days later from his injuries - causing shock and grief to his friends and family.

Clement later told police he had "bashed" his victim during the July 2013 attack "because he was a nonce".

He was jailed for 10 years after being found guilty of manslaughter by a jury in April 2014.

Police are appealing for information to find Clement who is wanted on recall to prison after his licence was revoked.

This is linked to the 61-year-old’s separate conviction concerning the possession of a bladed article - not his manslaughter conviction.

Clement is from Truro, but also has links to Kent, Dorset and Hastings.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Numerous inquiries have been made by police to locate and arrest Clement.

“He is described as a white male, of medium build, with grey hair. He is 5 ft 6 tall.

“Officers are now appealing to the public to report any sightings of him.”

The force confirmed to KentOnline this afternoon Clement was convicted of manslaughter ten years ago.

Anyone who sees Clement is asked to not approach him and call police on 999 immediately quoting reference log number 990 of 1/11/24.
