Pushbike thug robs pensioner

AN ELDERLY woman was injured when a boy on a pushbike violently grabbed her handbag from her arm in an alleyway beside Ramsgate railway station.

Police say the 77-year-old victim was left with a painful shoulder and arm in the robbery that happened at about 4.30pm on Monday. The crocodile print bag contained a grey purse with £5 in it and a pension book.

The boy has been described as being about 12 years old. He was wearing a dark or navy coloured jacket.
