A DISTRAUGHT woman is hoping that someone will be able to reunite her with a rare parrot.

The 18-month-old orange-tipped amazon escaped from Ann Wenham's home in Forest Drive, Walderslade, Chatham, at lunchtime on Saturday when a door was accidentally left open.

The green parrot, with orange flashes on the tips of its wings and tail, sat in a tree near Mrs Wenham's home for a couple of hours. Then it flew off. Since then there has been no reports on its whereabouts.

Mrs Wenham said she was offering a reward for the parrot's return. She has arranged with Cage and Aviary Bird magazine to take calls if the bird is spotted. If you see it, call 07956 628417 or 07802 404929.
