Kent earthquake: Social media buzzes as people react to experiencing tremors on social media

Houses shook and windows rattled as the earthquake hit Kent this morning, but there were also rumblings on social media as thousands described experiencing the tremors.

For those confused or frightened about what was happening, the buzz on Facebook and Twitter allayed fears and confirmed others had felt it too.

Here's just some of the posts from those who felt the earth move.

A Facebook page has already been set up, jokingly titled "I survived the Kent earthquake".

Meanwhile, others have posted lighthearted tweets about the lack of damage caused by the relatively minor earthquake.
