Gillingham were forced to settle for a point after a goalless draw at home to Carlisle United on Saturday.

Better news for Charlton who closed the gap on League 1 leaders Leeds United with a 1-0 win at home to Southend United.

Ebbsfleet United's recent turn of form came to an end with a 4-2 defeat at Blue Square leaders Oxford United.

Elsewhere, Bromley and Dover played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in Blue Square South.
