STOCK for a market stall worth thousands of pounds has been stolen from a Ford Transit van.

The vehicle had been parked overnight in Bull Lane at Eccles, near Maidstone, on January 26-27.

It was driven off by the thieves and later found in Mill Lane in Aylesford, minus its load.

Maidstone and Malling Police spokeswoman Gianna Pollero said: "The stolen items ranged from clothing to cosmetics estimated to be worth several thousands of pounds. When the van was found, it had damage to the door lock and the ignition."
