A person has been taken to hospital after a "serious crash" at the Sandwich Bypass.

Police, firefighters, and ambulance crews were called to the scene at around 6.30pm.

It is understood to involve two cars.

A police spokesman said: "Officers are at the scene and a road closure is in place while the incident is dealt with.

"Secamb has taken one person to a local hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening."
