An e-fit of one of the attackers

A 14-year-old Austrian student was left with a broken jaw and facial injuries after he was approached by three youths.

The assault happened in Pierremont Park in Broadstairs High Street as the victim and two other Austrian boys were sitting in the swing park.

Police say the three youths began swearing and shoutng at them. One of the thugs said to the victim: "Have you heard of David, the king of Broadstairs?"

The ringleader then punched the victim in the head and demanded money. His accomplices set about a second foreign student at which point the third Austrian tried to intervene and he was then confronted by all three attackers.
