Suspicious fire destroys derelict shop in Chatham

A former cobblers in Chatham has been targeted by arsonists.
The derelict shoe repair shop in Hilda Road was set on fire at about 8.30pm Tuesday. It was destroyed.
Firefighters were called out to the incident and spent more than two hours at the scene.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "The shop has been totally destroyed.

"We suspect the fire was started deliberately."
