A SWIMMER who died after falling ill at a Gillingham leisure centre has been named as Eric Morgan.

The thirty-seven-year-old, of Great Down Road, Hanwell, London, died after becoming ill at the Black Lion Leisure Centre in Mill Road.

Mr Morgan was pulled from the water by lifeguards.

Paramedics tried to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead on arrival at Medway Maritime Hospital
