Medway Magistrates' Court

A perverted teen has been placed on the sex offenders register after exposing himself to strangers in the street.

Sam Blake, 18, pulled down his trousers at least six times across Medway - including at the Pentagon Shopping Centre, in Chatham.

Blake, of Peverel Greeen, Gillingham, once even exposed himself to a 15-year-old girl and was aged just 17 when he committed one of the offences in Gillingham.

He appeared before Medway magistrates on Monday to be sentenced after previously pleading guilty to six charges of exposure.

Student Blake was given a 24-month community order in which he will be supervised by probation officers.

He was also placed on the sex offenders register for five years, which means he must now inform police if he intends to move away from his current address.

After reading a pre-sentencing report from probation officers, magistrate Barrie Boakes said: "Some of what we have read was very worrying.

"You must complete the supervision and knuckle down."

Blake was also ordered to pay £85 court costs.

For the full story and an interview with Blake, see Friday's Medway Messenger.
