A teenager has been killed in a crash along a quiet country lane near Canterbury.

The 17-year-old died at the scene after crashing his Chrysler car in Broadway, Petham, at 7.30am on Saturday morning.

He was travelling towards the junction with The Street when his car left the carriageway and struck a tree.

He was the only person in the car and no other vehicles were involved.

The road was shut off so the police could carry out specialist investigations.
