Teenagers grab elderly woman's purse

AN 86-year-old woman was robbed by two teenage boys while she was out shopping in the middle of the day in a Kent town.

The victim was approached by the youths in Ingram Road, Gillingham.

When one of the boys tried to grab her bad she managed to hold onto it, but the other teenager reached inside and stole her purse.

Fortunately, the woman was not hurt.

Both boys were around 15 or 16-years-old and both were wearing blue tops. One was wearing a baseball cap.

Anyone with information about the incident, which took place between 11.20am and 11.40am on Saturday, June 2, is asked to contact police on 01634 792525 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
