Shoppers taking advantage of the unseasonal sales

It's been a week of bargain basement sales throughout the county.

Shoppers flocked to the high streets all over Kent as word spread about surprise November sales.

Retailers made the move to kick start Christmas shopping after below-average October trading.

Marks and Spencer had a 20 per cent off everything sale for one day only on Thursday.

Department store Debenhams began a three-day sale on Wednesday with prices cut by 25 per cent.

High street sales fell by 0.1 per cent in October – less than the expected 0.9 per cent drop after sales fell by 0.4 per cent in September.

Maidstone shopper Sue Dunworth said: “There are so many sales on at the moment that I think this Christmas could be cheaper than last year.”
