Faversham man ordered to do community work

Richard Frederick Maybourne, of Mutton Lane, Faversham, attacked a police officer, and also assaulted another person by beating him.

Magistrates ordered the 48-year-old to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He must also pay £50 compensation, an £85 surcharge and £85 costs.

Prison for thief

Sean Mcgarrigle, of Church Road, Sheerness, stole meat to the value of almost £100.

Magistrates sentenced the 44-year-old to 300 days in prison, 150 days for each offence. He must also pay £98 in compensation and a £115 surcharge.

Teen banned from driving after being over the limit

Abbie Spicer, of Faversham Road, Ashford, drove a motor vehicle in Canterbury Road, Ashford. When stopped by officers she gave a breath test of 82 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Magistrates banned the 19-year-old

from driving for 18 months. She must also pay a £300 fine, a £30 surcharge and £85 in costs.

Woman took vehicle without permission

Maria Stefanache, of West Parade, Hythe, took a vehicle without the owner’s consent and drove a vehicle in Princes Parade, Hythe, with an alcohol level above the legal limit, on a separate occasion. When stopped she gave a breath test of 74 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. She also drove without insurance or a licence.

Magistrates sentenced the 24-year-old to carry out unpaid work for 120 hours within the next year. She also received an 18 month driving ban must pay a £175 fine and £85 in costs.

Margate resident ordered to hand over licence

Bily Ratislav, ofNorthdown Road, Margate, drove a vehicle in Northdown Road, Margate when his alcohol level was above the legal limit. He gave a breath test of 84 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

He also failed to appear at Margate Magistrates' Court having been released on bail.

Magistrates banned the 29-year-old from driving for 22 months. He must also pay a £450 fine, £45 surcharge and £150 in costs.

Man took groceries, meat and wine

Ian Benjamin Hopgood, of Thornden Wood Road, Herne Bay, stole a joint of meat and seven bottles of wine worth £56, as well as groceries worth £318.24.

Magistrates sentenced the 54-year-old to 30 days in prison. Because the offence was committed during the operational period of a suspended sentence, the overall length of his sentence is 45 days. He must also pay £115 surcharge and £85 costs.

Prison for man who took vehicle without permission

Nathan Orlando Jake Clifton, of De Burgh Street, Dover, drove a vehicle without the owner's consent.

Magistrates sentenced the 26-year-old to 60 days in prison. He must also pay a surcharge of £115.

Maidstone man banned for drink driving

Tiago Soares, of Hayle Road, Maidstone, drove a motor vehicle in Palace Avenue above the legal alcohol limit. He gave a breath test of 97 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. For breath tests the legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Magistrates banned the 27-year-old from driving for 24 months. He must also pay a £392 fine, a £39 surcharge and £85 costs.

Tunbridge Wells driver was over the limit

Ashraf Abbas-Abdelghany, of Grove Hill Gardens, Tunbridge Wells, gave a breath test of 79 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

He also drove a motor vehicle on Mount Ephriam Road otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

Magistrates banned the 41-year-old from driving for 18 months. He must also pay a £180 fine, a £30 surcharge and £85 costs.

Queenborough resident told to do unpaid work

Daniel Stephen Bird, of Well Road, Queenborough, dishonestly undertook or assisted in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of stolen goods to the value of £12,000.

Magistrates ordered the 38-year-old to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He must also pay an£85 surcharge and £450 costs.
