Dartford manager Tony Burman hopes strengthening his squad in the summer will help a promotion push next season.

Burman’s side cannot reach the Blue Square Bet South play-off places with just five games remaining this term but hopes they can continue to improve.

He said: "We try to strengthen after every season and I know that some players will go, while others will come in. I know that we have a good squad and they have a year’s experience of playing in this league.

"They are all at the right age too – they are in their mid-20s or younger. There is a lot to come from them."

James White is back from a ban while Joe Bruce could also return after a groin injury.

Burman (pictured) said: "We still have 15 points to play for and we’ll be going for them. We are all focused on Boreham Wood because they probably still need a win to be safe.

"We have still to play Havant but there is a little gap and it might be hard to catch them and ninth place but we’ll give it our best."
