ROOFING lead worth an estimated £1,000 has been stolen from a building site.

Police say the theft happened at Old Mill Corner, Tenterden Road, Biddenden, near Ashford.

The lead was in 8ft lengths, which were 2ft wide. Vertical roofing tiles and attachments worth £1,500 were also taken.
