Another storm hit parts of Kent today, with high winds recorded on the coast.

The Met Office issued a yellow weather alert for Storm Jorge, warning of gusts of up to 70mph in Dover, Folkestone and Romney Marsh at its peak.

The yellow warning will remain in place until 9am on Sunday.

The Met Office says gusts of 50-60 mph are likely quite widely overnight and into tomorrow.

A flood alert has been issued for the River Medway as it flows through Maidstone.

The Met Office have told people to expect some delays to road, rail and ferry transport as a result of the bad weather.

Storm Jorge was named by the Spanish Meteorological Service, and is the third storm to hit the county this month.

Earlier this month Storm Ciara caused chaos to rail services and roads, including flooding on the A21 Tonbridge bypass.

During the storm, one motorist became trapped in their car as they attempted to drive through flood water on the A20.

Just weeks later, Storm Dennis battered Kent with wind and rain, leaving hundreds of homes without any power.

In Medway, a naked man in a rowing boat had to be rescued by emergency RNLI crews.
