Dartford boss Tony Burman pinpointed the arrival of goalkeeper Louis Wells from Staines as a key moment in the season.

But he was quick to also praise the attitude of the man he replaced Andrew Young, who recovered from a knee injury to be on the bench in both games against Basingstoke.

Burman said: "It was a big decision I had to make, and something I felt we had to do at the time.

"I think Louis is capable of being the best in the league, but it was fantastic for Andy to come back and do us favour. That's the sort of relationship I want with my players."

Midfielder Lee Noble (pictured) was named man-of-the-match on Sunday, after scoring the winner in Hampshire five days earlier, and Burman added: "He might not have the height others have, but has got a bigger heart than some of them.

"It doesn't matter where you play him, he just wants to give 100 per cent and is maturing into a very good player."

Noble came off the bench to earn Darts a late point in the 1-1 draw at Park View Road on Boxing Day, with Danny Harris getting the winner in the New Year return.
