BROMLEY'S CCTV control room is now the most up-to-date in London thanks to a six-figure cash boost.
It has been kitted out with pioneering tracking technology and is now fully digital, meaning images are of a better quality for police evidence.
The £310,000 revamp is the latest weapon against crime and anti-social behaviour in the armoury of the Safer Bromley Partnership, made up of council and police officers.
Cllr George Taylor, Bromley's cabinet member for Public Protection and Safety said: “People in Bromley should feel reassured that we have put this level investment into protecting them and making sure that Bromley is a safer place to live and work.
“We had one of the first CCTV systems in the country more than 10 years ago and today we are still at the forefront of security because we keep doing things right.”
