Two arrested after car hits wall in Herne Bay

Two people were arrested after a car struck a garden wall in Beltinge Road, Herne Bay.

Emergency services were called to the scene in the early hours of Monday morning.

A 16-year-old girl from Herne Bay, who was a passenger in the car, suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to the QEQM Hospital at Margate.

She has since been arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent.

The driver - a 23-year-old man also from Herne Bay - was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent, having no insurance and driving without a licence.

The pair have both been released on bail.
