Two Kent police dogs through to national competition

Two police dogs and their handlers from Kent are competing in
the prestigious National Police Dog Trials this weekend.

PC Dave Simmons with his dog Riba and PC Sam Appleby with Victor
finished first and third in a recent three-day regional heat.

In the trials, which are taking place in Ipswich, dogs are
marked on several work-related tasks, including tracking, searching
and criminal work.

Here, KentOnline's Nisha Chopra talks to PC Dave Simmons
about his work as a police dog handler and finds out more about the
competition.
