A house was damaged after a man smashed his van into it following a domestic incident.

A police helicopter was brought in to carry out a search for the 33-year-old driver of a blue Renault Traffic van who made off from the scene of the accident which happened in Saxon Walk, Iwade, just before 9am yesterday.

Nobody was injured. However, a car was damaged in Saxon Walk along with two other cars parked in Sharfleet Crescent.

Despite an extensive search of the area officers were unable to find the man. The investigation is ongoing.
