Visual Feast

Cirque Du Ciel's ShanHi.

Talent, strength and stamina - words which could apply equally to Team GB or the dancers and acrobats in Cirque Du Ciel’s ShangHi. The internationally acclaimed show is back in the UK and its next stop is at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley.

Set in China’s most modern and vibrant city, Cirque Du Ciel’s ShangHi centres on a teenage girl and her dream of becoming a circus performer. Two mysterious spirit-like figures (the Sun and the Moon) introduce her to a frenzy of acrobatic activity, which comes to life with the opening of a magical box.

With more than 30 highly-skilled performers, this two-hour extravaganza combines acrobatics, modern dance, martial arts, original music and many other traditional and contemporary Chinese elements.

This visual feast also shows 500 superbly decadent costumes, intricate scenery, evocative lighting and a score that enhances and highlights the magical aura of the show.
