POLICE are appealing for information and have issued a warning following the theft of a car containing medical equipment.

Officers say the blue Peugeot was stolen from Sheerness Docks in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The car was later found in Gillingham and a 41-year-old man arrested on suspicion of drink driving and theft of a motor vehicle. The medical equipment consisting of a defibrillator, a professional first aid kit, gas and oxygen has not been recovered.

Police are now urging anyone who knows the whereabouts of the items to get in contact with them.
