Walking on water has helped the KM Group's charity team splash the cash.
Cheques were presented to recipients Demelza House and the Kent and Medway Walking Bus Group by KM Group editor for Swale Matt Ramsden at the Swallows Leisure Centre in Sittingbourne. Demelza received £1,000 and the Walking Bus was given £376.
Laura Smyth from Demelza's fund-raising team said: "Thank you to everyone who took part in the water walking event and helped support Demelza's vital work. We are so grateful for support like this which will help us continue to improve the lives of children with life limiting and life threatening illness across London and the South East.
"If you would like to find out more about Demelza or help us in any way you can find out more at www.demelza.org.uk"
Twenty people took part in the water walking event in May at the leisure centre, which provided the venue free of charge.
Also present at the cheque handover were Katie McDaniel, KM Charity Team project officer, and Chris Mortimer, Swallows Pool Duty Manager.
