Glyphosate: Farmers in Kent can carry on using 'potentially dangerous' weed killer
Published: 20:20, 28 November 2017
Farmers in Kent have been told they can keep using a potentially dangerous weed killer, despite pleas from campaigners.
Glyphosate was, and will now continue to be, used on most crops across the county after countries in the European Union voted to renew the chemical's licence.
Agriculture workers were told they could carry on putting it on their crops after the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) said it was "unlikely" to cause cancer in humans.
