Saved from the abattoir - this horse is now on the road to stardom.
Duke, Europe's largest horse, is Kent's newest celebrity resident.
The Shire horse moved to the county only a couple of weeks ago when owners Sara and Colin transferred their horse refuge from Essex to Wittersham.

Standing at 9ft tall from head to hoof, Duke’s neck is almost 4ft long, while his girth is a staggering 8ft 6ins, almost 2ft longer than the average Shire horse.
We visited his stables at the refuge to find out more about the gentle giant.
