Siege!
Dover Castle
An historic siege at Dover Castle has been cancelled due to the strong winds forecast.
Battle lines and swords were due to be drawn today and tomorrow, with participants able to witness the drama of gruesome warfare.
But organisers English Heritage has issued a statement saying the event could not go ahead safely.
Anyone who has pre-booked tickets will be automatically refunded within 10 days.
The site is now closed for the day and visitors are being turned away at the gate.
Art in the Park
Milton Creek Country Park, Sittingbourne
An annual outdoor arts extravaganza has been cancelled last minute due to weather fears.
The seventh celebration of arts, crafts and creations was due to be held at Milton Creek Country Park in Milton Regis today.
Thousands of families and children of all ages were expected to descend on the park between 11am and 4pm to enjoy free craft sessions, paid-for workshops, entertainment at the bandstand with live music, a steel band and a giant moving sculpture of a tree.
However, Swale council has broke the news about the event's cancellation on Twitter yesterday.
A council spokesman said: "Due to poor weather expected tomorrow, organisers have taken the difficult decision to cancel Art in the Park.
"The expected strong winds would have made it hard to run the event safely, so unfortunately it has been cancelled."
Tonbridge Calling
Tonbridge Racecourse Park, Tonbridge
A free, community-run festival will no longer be going ahead.
The team are now focussing on trying to reschedule as soon as possible.
A Facebook post on the festival page reads: "It is with a very heavy heart that we have decided to cancel Tonbridge Calling.
"We are really disappointed but feel it is best for all concerned to make this decision as soon as possible.
"We want to thank the vendors, groups and all the other friends who have worked so hard to get us to this stage."
However, the after party at Fuggles Beer Cafe is still going ahead from 8pm tomorrow, with DJs playing everything from funk to Latin.
Gillingham Market
Gillingham market will not be running today
The market, which is held in the town's High Street every Monday and Saturday, sells a wide range of handy items, including food and home utensils.
High winds could pose a health and safety hazard, with light-weight tables and tarpaulin used by many vendors.
The market should go ahead as usual on Monday.
Rochester Artisan Market
High Street, Rochester
An artisan market which takes place along Rochester High Street and was due to happen today, has also been cancelled.
Medway council has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
Margate Pride
Margate
Margate Pride's main event - a huge parade - is set to go ahead today, despite the threat of wind.
Organiser Tommy Poppers said: "We have taken the weather warnings on board and have advised everyone to prepare for the weather.
"People with floats will be extra careful but all our subcontractors have agreed we are fine to continue as planned."
But Tommy acknowledges if the weather is terrible, some cancellations may have to be made.
A procession through the town and live music performances will celebrate diversity, love and the LGBT community.
The Combined Ops Military and Air Show
Headcorn Aerodrome
Organisers of a show celebrating military vehicles of land, air and sea say they are keeping a close eye on the weather.
Planes are set to fill the sky at the military air show today, but with a yellow wind warning issued, the aircraft may be outside their legal limits to take-off.
With flying displays and parachute jumps set to take place across the weekend, the event organisers say they are monitoring the weather forecast on an hourly basis.
Final decisions will be made today.
However, vehicles on the ground, including tanks, Jeeps and hundreds of military vehicles will all be running.
