Met Office yellow weather warning for strong winds in Kent

A weather warning has been issued as winds of up to 70mph are set to batter Kent.

People are being warned of potential disruption on the county’s roads and also to rail and ferry services with "very strong and gusty winds" expected.

The Met Office says short-term power cuts are possible and delays for high-sided vehicles likely on exposed roads and bridges.

Winds of up to 70mph are due to hit Kent

The yellow warning is in place from 10pm tonight and 9am tomorrow morning.
