KENT Police have appealed for information after a 25-year-old woman was assaulted.
The incident happened between midnight and 3am in Keating Close, Rochester, just off The Esplanade, on Tuesday, March 15.
The victim is now recovering. No further details about the attack have been released. Medway Police are, however, appealing for two people who were in the area at the time to come forward as they may have vital information.
Officers are still making a number of enquiries, but know from witnesses who have already come forward that there were at least two people having a disagreement in a car in the road, or in neighbouring Fennel Close and Shelley Rise, at about the time of the attack.
A spokesman for Medway Police said: “We would like to speak to the people in the car as they may have seen or heard something that may be connected to the assault. We wish to stress that these people are not suspects but may be vital witnesses.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Medway Police on 01634 884252 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
